Birdette's was born out of a lifelong love of casual crafting & the feeling of immense joy that accompanies learning a new skill. We wanted to create an environment not dissimilar from crafting in your own living room.

What started with the humble goal of making the act of trying new crafts more affordable, accessible, and in a space dedicated to the creative flow has since evolved into the "Collective" - a collaborative and openminded environment where people can learn from and with each other with the shared purpose of creating.

Is there free parking?
Yes! We share a parking lot with our building neighboring businesses. We also have free street parking in front of, as well as all around us.
Is this for children or adults?
While we welcome the younger folk to participate in youth geared scheduled classes or event days (found on the "Classes" page and in the monthly schedule), the Art Cafe crafting menu and experiences are specifically designed for adults. Exceptions made for those 12+ years old accompanied by an adult with the understanding that this is a grownup environment and the language or content of other crafters conversations and art will not be policed. We are here to express freely!
I'm planning to check it out and I want to do a craft from the Art Cafe crafting menu. What should I expect?
Welcome, we a thrilled to have you and can hardly wait to see what you create!
First comes first, have a walk around and explore! We are so much more than just a crafting space. You'll find retail areas for all your home crafting project needs, a hot tea station stocked with mugs and yummy leaves, and get an idea of where you'll want to have a seat and get set up!
Next, you'll peruse the menu and order your art experience at the bar (and any additional bevies or snacks). Your 'Craftender' will then get your supply tray ready for you while you get comfy in your chosen spot. All supplies will be brought to you and from here, it's all play! Enjoy your time, make some friends (or don't, you do you!), and relax while we refresh your paint water and make sure you stay stocked with everything you need!
At the end of your visit, we'll help you frame your creation (if a paper craft) and maybe sneak a picture because, wow, you made a really cool thing and we want to show it off! Leave your mess to us to tidy back up, and redirect that crafting focus to where you're going to display your masterpiece!
