Join Margot with Inky Fingers Calligraphy for a night of learning, creating, & skill building with this magical chance to learn & play with dip-pens from a master while hexing your ex at the same time! Words have power- have you always wanted to learn the art of good lookin' lettering? Join us for a 2 hour contemporary calligraphy class geared toward total beginners. Starting with pencils and moving on to traditional dip pens, this class will teach you all the basics of pressure sensitive writing so that you can add some extra pizzazz to your manifestations and affirmations, just in time for Halloween. Whether you're a practicing witch, wizard, or just a crafty dabbler in general, Margot from Inky Fingers Calligraphy will teach you all the basics and get you ready to cast some spells. No calligraphy experience necessary; just a desire to create something beautiful, meet cool people, and learn a magical new form of art! By the end, you’ll leave with a unique written spell piece featuring the words of your choosing and some fresh scribe skills. As always, the hot tea station is free. Snacks and canned beverages (coffees, cocktails, craft sodas) available for purchase. Your Instructor: Margot is a full-time calligraphy, engraving, & illustration artist with a degree in Studio Arts. Most of her work week consists of teaching Calligraphy and Watercolor across the greater Tampa area from the Dunedin Fine Arts Center to creative third spaces like here, at Birdette's. Custom projects for individuals, weddings, and so much more fill the rest of her time.
